Who we are
Loggistics is a chain-of-custody tracking application for urban wood operations, built by Growth Ring Studios. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” mean Growth Ring Studios. You can reach us at info@growthringstudios.com.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Sawyers and operators who create and manage an account
- Contributors (arborists, contractors) who submit information via a shared link without creating an account
- Buyers who complete a chain-of-custody form via a shared link without creating an account
What we collect and why
Account and organization data
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and organization name. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive an authentication token from that provider — we do not receive or store your password. If you use email/password login, your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. We use this data solely to authenticate you and identify your organization’s records.
Business records
We store the operational records you create: tree sources, logs, milling sessions, drying charges, boards, transport events, and invoices. This includes business data you enter about your customers (name, email, phone, address) and third parties involved in removal work (contractor name, credentials, certification status). This data exists solely to support your use of the app and generate chain-of-custody documentation.
Location and GPS data
We collect GPS coordinates and street addresses for tree removal sites, facility locations (mill, kiln, yard), and transport events. This data is used to calculate USRW transport distances and generate chain-of-custody records. We do not use location data for advertising or tracking purposes.
Photos and EXIF data
When you upload photos, we store the image files. We automatically read embedded EXIF metadata — including GPS coordinates and timestamps — from every uploaded photo. This data is stored alongside the photo and used to assist with location confirmation and record dating. We do not share photo content or EXIF data with third parties other than our storage provider (Supabase).
Contributor submissions
When an arborist or contractor submits information via a shared documentation link, we collect whatever they enter — typically removal documentation references, credentials, and any photos they upload. They do not create an account; their data is attached to the source record in your organization.
Buyer CoC form
When a buyer completes a chain-of-custody form via a shared link, we collect the information they submit for USRW §4 compliance (project details, installation location, etc.). Buyers do not create an account.
Usage data
We do not use third-party analytics. We do not track behavior across sessions for advertising purposes.

We do not sell your data to any third party.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, you may request deletion of your organization’s data by emailing info@growthringstudios.com. Note that some records may need to be retained for a period if required by applicable law or ongoing chain-of-custody obligations.
Age requirement
Loggistics requires account holders to be 18 or older. Account creation requires a payment method, and by creating an account you confirm you are of legal age to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through a contributor or buyer link, contact us at info@growthringstudios.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email info@growthringstudios.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and token-based access for no-login forms. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to info@growthringstudios.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify active users by email if changes are material. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
